The Deadliest Form of Domestic Violence

There are so many vital issues being debated in the upcoming election that I feel very stongly about, but to me, one issue and one issue alone determines if I will vote for a particular candidate, do they support the murder of unborn babies? Abortion is a form of Domestic Violence that always results in the death of the victim. Tragically it abounds in the United States and around the world.
I know that those that support abortion claim it’s not murder, they use catchy phrases like Pro Choice, and Women’s Reproductive Rights, they call opposition to abortion as a War On Women. This rhetoric is simply politically correct terminology that enables them to avoid admitting that they are murdering babies. They have gone so far as to claim that while the baby is in its mother’s womb it is not really human being, but our country’s own laws designed to protect endangered species prove they don’t rally believe that. If you destroy a Sea Turtle’s egg it is $100,00.00 fine and up to one (1) year in prison. Destroy a Bald Eagle’s results in a $250,000.00 fine and up to two (2) years in prison!
Jeremiah 1:5 gives us God’s take on this insane argument. “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Proverbs 6:17 reveals God’s reaction to this, He hates hands that shed innocent blood.
This past week my wife, Debbie, made the observation that God is going to hold us accountable to how we vote in our elections. I pointed out that He will also hold us accountable if we don’t vote, for refusing to vote is failing to stand up for the unborn. The truth be known, any politician who supports abortion and is voting to fund Planned Parenthood is and accessory to the wholesale murder of unborn babies, and anyone who votes for such a politician is an accessory as well.
Revelation 6:10 ask a profound question, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood,” and Galatians 6:7 & 8 warns “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
If there is anyone reading this blog who has had an abortion or has been an accessory to abortion, do not despair, there is forgiveness in Christ. Micah 7:18 reveals that God does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. We are promised in I John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, (notice God says to confess our sins, not our excuses) He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
In the name of Jesus, I call you to repentance, then go and sin no more. For the unrepentant are heading for a awful day of Divine Judgement. Jesus loves you so much that Romans 5:8 reveals that God demonstrated His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!
